Thursday, 4 December, 2005: Three liver transplant operations were conducted successfully on Tuesday in Tripoli. The transplant surgeries were carried out on three women by Dr. Ehtuish Farag and German Dr Johanson Schille with the assistance of a group of Libyan doctors and nurses at Tripoli Medical Center. In a press conference, attended by the donors and the patients, Dr. Ehtuish said that such operations would have cost more than € 300,000 each if they were done abroad.
