Enhancing the role of the Yes Libyan National Movement and to further activate its role in comprehensive reconciliation, Prof. Dr. Ehtuish Farag Ehtuish the chairman of the Movement went on an official visit on Monday, 23/07/2018 to the Head of Investigations Department in the Office of the General prosecutor Mr. Siddiq Alsour in his office in the capital Tripoli. introducing the definition of the yes Libya National Movement its goals and objectives. The visit also dealt with the importance of amnesty as a means of comprehensive national reconciliation and restorative justice.
In a positive step, Mr. Siddiq Alsour confirmed that anyone who finds his name in watchlists at ports of entry (he or one of his family members) can send a memorandum to the General Prosecutor Office to have his name removed. Mr. Siddiq also said that his department will take all the necessary steps to speed up the fair removal of names from all checklists . The Head of the Investigations Department at the Attorney General's Office also confirmed that preventive detention is no longer necessary and that when required it is sufficient to investigate without incarceration, with anyone whos the nature of thier work require compliance with such procedures.
The Head of the Investigations Department at the General prosecutor's Office expressed his understanding of the situation of the displaced, stressing his sincere desire to contribute to reunification and bridging the gabs in order to create progress towards rebuilding the country and towards comprehensive reconciliation on the bases of justice and equal opportunities.
At the end of the visit, the Head of the Investigations Department of the General prosecutor's Office commended the serious efforts of the Yes Libya National Movement which seeks to reunite the Libyan people and achieve peace and peaceful coexistence between the all citizens of our homeland.
